This is a story about my home city Bogotá D.C. As a South American city, which was colonized, we have influences of all around the world.
In 1948, Jorge Eliercer Gaitán (a candidate for president elections), was assassinated. The event caused so much chaos that many
buildings and history files were burned at that time. This was taken as an “opportunity” to create a more modern Bogotá based on the 50’s standards. History was forgotten as an action to start something new and ignore all the problems that the community had (and still have nowadays).
In this story I wanted to represent most of all the forgotten
Bogotá, that was held on time meanwhile a new “modern” Bogotá started to grow
